A chemical peel is an elective cosmetic procedure in which a chemical solution removes the damaged outer layer of facial skin to improve the texture and treat fine wrinkles. Different chemicals are used for the peels depending upon the desired results. Common chemical peels include glycolic acid, tricholoroacetic acid (TCA), phenol, and Obagi Blue peels.
